NC4L in the ATL
Another film fest?? How does this keep happening? Oh right...I spent a billion dollars this spring entering every cool festival I could find. I entered a bunch because I thought "well, if we're lucky we'll get accepted to one festival every few months." That was actually kind of a pretty optimistic way of thinking since A LOT of independent filmmakers have to enter dozens and dozens of fests before they even get accepted to one. So we're doing really, really well. It's remakable to me that our ultra-low budget doc that we shot for just a few grand is screening in fests that have films that cost over 100K to make and feature name actors. In your face directors with rich parents! We've been accepted to every single fest we've entered since I started submitting out "final cut"....except for the stupid Tallahassee film fest. That one was a big rip-off. I paid $55 to enter by their "super-final last minute deadline" of April 1st only to find out that the fest was happening just two weeks after that. They didn't even get the dvd until a week before. Most fests have their line-up locked up 6 weeks beforehand. So basically TFF was just trying to squeeze a few extra bucks out of filmmakers. That sucks, they suck and Tallahassee sucks. You know who doesn't suck though? Everyone in Atlanta that's who.

This is our first "underground" festival which makes me feel really cool and indie. I don't know what their logo is supposed to mean but to me it says everything you need to know about the festival. If you aint never felt like that gerbial creature feels, then you ain't a human being...or a gerbil.
Here's a link to the festival guide. They only accepted 18 features so once again, we lucked out.
