I can has cheese steak?
Oh my God I love cheese steaks. I love 'em like crazy but I've never had one as good as the one I had on my first and only trip to Philadelphia. It would be crazy to travel to philly just for sandwiches but now I have a legitimate reason to head out there. The doc's been accepted to the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival!

Here's the screening info: Sat, June 28, 2008 @ 8:05pm at The Media Bureau
Saturday at 8:15pm? Man that's a hella good time slot but June 28th doesn't give me much time to make travel plans. I'm hoping to make it to the fest but we shall see. Here's what PIFF's website says about the festival:
The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival taking place on June 26th ‐ 29th, 2008, will screen 151 independent films from 20 international filmmaking communities. Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell calls The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival “one of those Philadelphia summer events that makes our wonderful state of Pennsylvania a fun place to visit and vacation.”
The Philadelphia Independent Film Festival will showcase films throughout the historically‐radical, artistically‐flourishing neighborhood of Northern Liberties. All screening locations are a short walking distance of each other: North Bowl, Liberty Lands Park, Arbol Café, Liberties Walk, Tower Gallery, Media Bureau, & Woodshop Film Studios. Screenings will be accompanied by stimulating round table and filmmaker discussions, panels, demonstrations, film critiques, and a live casting call for a current project.
Wow, sounds pretty cool. Throw in "one wit wiz" and I just might be there.
