Awesomeness: Achieved...AGAIN!
Well holy crap. The San Francisco Frozen Film Fest turned out to be the best fest experience we've had so far. It was tons of fun and the movie and after party went over really, really well. I'll blog about the weekend after I get the photos uploaded. In the mean time I wanted to do a quick post about a piece of really sweet press we got. For the second time now I arrived in a town for a film fest, picked up a copy of the local edition of The Onion and saw my face in it. (click here to see the piece from last time) Oh actually, this time my face wasn't IN the local Onion, IT WAS ON THE COVER.
So can you spot us? Take a closer look at the bottom left-hand corner just above the barcode.
In a weird way, I love that it's so hilariously small. But now that I think about it, San Francisco is a huge-ass town and of all the films in the Frozen Film Fest and of all the events happing last week in the entire Bay Area, the screening of Nerdcore For Life was deemed a cover-worthy "thing to do." Here's what you saw when you flipped to page 23:
The description/review is so poetic it's almost creepy. I know the writer did see a copy of the film before the fest and while he may not be a fan of Nerdcore, he at least seemed to like the doc. "A Boggling Surprise"- The Onion, Bay Area A.V. Club sounds like a pretty wicked quote for a dvd box cover.
